Technology: We use state-of-the-art instruments to assist in eye exams!
Just as in other fields of medicine, prevention and early treatment are the key to success. Today's comprehensive eye exam can discover numerous problems which are correctable (or at least lessened) if found early. Instruments assist in evaluating patients' health. For example, the computer-controlled Visual Fields Tester detects several conditions including Retinal Detachments; Thyroid Problems; Glaucoma; Cardiovascular Disease; and Neurological Problems. We are also one of a few optometric practices to routinely use the Goldmann Tonometer, or “puff-less” glaucoma test.

Annandale EyeCare has the state of the art Heidelberg HRT Retinal Tomograph as used at John Hopkins. The instrument is used to diagnose and treat glaucoma and other neurological conditions earlier than any other technology currently available.
